Welcome to My World – FUN! Exotic Vacations – Gardening – Long Walks – Chocolate Truffles
Hello World! Hope you’re doing great today! What do you do for fun? Do you consider a luxurious vacation; maybe an African Photo Safari, or a trip to Fiji to sit on the beach, enjoy the sea & do nothing fun?
Do you enjoy gardening? How about reading a good book or watching a good movie? I guess it all depends on whether you are a home body or one who prefers getting away from it all…
These days I seem to enjoy a good book, gardening & a long walk. I used to enjoy getting away on those exotic vacations but I don’t seem to crave those as much as I used to. Is this partly due to lack of funds, or am I just tired of running? I used to enjoy partying on weekends with friends, but I seem to have outgrown that as well. Now I go to sleep when I used to go out to “Party”.
Wow, how life changes, but that’s what it’s all about. isn’t it? Change is an important part of our lives. Who knows, but I would like to know what you do for “FUN”…
Since I’m talking about “FUN”, I’ll share a recipe for Chocolate Truffles (that’s healthy & easy) that you may like…
3-Ingredient Chocolate Truffles — Without Refined Sugar!
Quick & easy raw chocolate-hazelnut truffles are perfect for Valentine’s Day or any day! There’s a misconception that raw food takes a lot of time & special equipment to prepare, but these truffles prove otherwise.
This delicious dessert only takes about half an hour to make & contains no refined sugars. Instead, they get their sweetness from dates. And all that you need to make these truffles is a regular blender or food processor.
Raw Chocolate-Hazelnut Truffles
This truffle recipe is for dark chocolate fans. If you don’t like super dark chocolate, use 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder instead of the full 1/4 cup.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups raw hazelnuts, divided
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup pitted dates
- 2 tablespoons water
Method
- Grind 1 cup of hazelnuts in your blender until they have a flour-like consistency.
- Transfer the hazelnut flour to a mixing bowl, & whisk it together with the cocoa powder.
- Toss the dates & water in the blender; blend on high until they start to form a paste. Transfer the date mixture to the bowl, & knead until you have a nice ball of dough.
- Grind the remaining hazelnuts until you have a coarse meal, & pour into a small bowl.
- Divide the hazelnut-chocolate dough into 10-12 balls, shaping each with the palms of your hands. Roll each ball in the hazelnut meal that you made, & chill until you’re ready to serve. These taste best if they can sit for a few hours or overnight in the fridge, but you can serve immediately, if you want!
